Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Arena Racing Corporation. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and control the annual operating budget to ensure all financial targets are met and statutory regulations are complied with.
- Provide strategic and financial guidance to ensure the company's financial commitments are met.
- Work with the Executive Director and senior commercial team to contribute to the development of the company's strategy, challenging assumptions and providing analytical feedback to support sound decision-making.
- Act as a conduit between racing, operations, and finance to ensure maximum benefit is achieved through race planning and financial investment in the racing product.
- Oversee the financial management and reporting of race day functions, including pre-raceday forecasts and post-raceday results.
- Instigate and manage recovery plans to address underperformance.
- Take overall control of the accounting systems and ensure they are robust, compliant, and that all necessary policies and procedures are in place to maintain effective financial management.
- Prepare the company's financial accounts, ensuring they are presented accurately and on time with full supporting data.
- Work with internal and external audit representatives to develop a sound internal audit procedure.
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure the company meets its financial and legal obligations.
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company's cash management policies.
- Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
- Full driving license with the ability to travel across multiple sites.
