At Transport for Wales, we're seeking a skilled School Liaison Officer to join our team. This part-time role involves building strong relationships with local schools and colleges, ensuring the safe and orderly conduct of students on our services, and promoting rail safety and behavior expectations.

As a School Liaison Officer, you will:

  • Maintain and develop partnerships with local schools and colleges.
  • Ensure the safe and orderly conduct of students on our services during school term times.
  • Assist with the issuing of pupil travel passes and provide support to Conductors on train services out of school term times.
  • Assist in operating trains in a safe and timely manner and provide help and information to all customers.
  • Maintain a high profile and engage with local schools and colleges to promote rail safety and behavior expectations.
  • Assist with local event planning and promoting our services.

We're looking for a flexible individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who can meet shift working requirements and occasionally work weekends. A GCSE or equivalent qualification, including a grade C or above in Mathematics and English, is required. The ability to speak and write Welsh is a plus, but not essential.
