Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Underwriter to join our team at Aviva plc. As a Trading Underwriter - Property and Liability, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and delivering the widest proposition appropriate to the customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer.
  • Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulation and legislation, including the FCA.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of underwriting - Property & Liability.
  • Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
