Job Opportunity
We are working with a commodity trading house based in London, seeking an experienced Operations and Logistics Manager to lead the development of their new precious metals business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operations project for establishing and developing the new precious metals business, utilizing your industry knowledge to design and implement new business practices, controls, and systems.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the precious metals operations and logistics team, overseeing and training new staff, including internal transfers.
- Provide ad hoc support to the base metals team and ensure integration between teams, reporting directly to the Global Head of Operations.
Requirements
- Demonstrable operations and logistics experience within the metals space, specifically handling precious metals.
- Experience leading and managing a team, including the development and trading of new team members.
- Strong understanding of the physical delivery of products, integration of metals accounts, vault setup and maintenance, security, and physical movements.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience dealing with stakeholders and senior leadership implementing new ideas and business changes.
- Located in the UK with the right to work.
