A leading consultancy with a strong reputation in the construction industry is seeking a skilled Health & Safety Advisor to support their clients in the Midlands region.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, remote-based position that offers the flexibility to manage your own diary and travel to sites within a 50-mile radius from your home. As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be part of a collaborative team that covers Manchester and the Midlands, providing a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site inspections on construction projects and produce detailed reports.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Director to identify and address the health and safety training needs of employees.
- Develop and implement safety policies to ensure compliance across all sites.
- Train staff on best practices in health and safety.
- Perform regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Record and investigate workplace accidents.
- Stay current with health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Log into the online portal to complete risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.
- Proven experience working within a construction consultancy.
- Hold the NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential).
- Possess a strong understanding of health and safety within the construction industry.
- Be an engaging communicator, IT literate, and comfortable liaising with all levels.
- Be self-disciplined and capable of managing your own schedule.
- Hold a valid driving license.
- Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000.
- £5,000 car allowance (salary sacrifice) including insurance and breakdown cover.
