Our client, a leading Manufacturer and Wholesaler of FMCG products, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining HS&E standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Monitor and Review Health and Safety Performance Metrics: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure the organization is meeting its health and safety objectives and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide Health and Safety Advice and Guidance: Offer expert advice and guidance to all levels of the business on health and safety matters, including risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and emergency planning and evacuation procedures.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Develop Risk Management Plans: Identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks across the organization, developing and implementing effective risk management plans.
- Develop and Deliver Health and Safety Training Programs: Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs to ensure all employees are aware of their health and safety responsibilities and can perform their duties safely.
- Work with External Agencies and Stakeholders: Collaborate with external agencies, such as regulatory bodies and industry associations, to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Lead Health and Safety Committees and Forums: Chair health and safety committees and forums to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization on health and safety matters.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Qualification (or Equivalent): Hold a recognized health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH, and have extensive working knowledge of health and safety at work regulations.
- UK Driving License: Possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to commute to other business locations as required.
- Excellent IT Skills: Have very good general IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
