Day Support Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Day Support Operator to join our team at Innospec Inc. in Ellesmere Port. As a key member of our Performance Chemicals business, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods within our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving and storing raw materials, verifying quantities and quality against delivery notes.
- Maintaining accurate records of all received materials, including type, quantity, and location.
- Properly storing raw materials according to safety regulations and FIFO principle.
- Preparing raw materials for production as required by orders and production planning.
- Delivering prepared materials to designated production areas in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identifying and troubleshooting problems related to raw material availability, preparation, or delivery.
- Communicating effectively with Plant Manager and/or supervisor, planning department, and other relevant personnel to address issues and ensure smooth operations.
- NVQ Level 2 in Process Plant Operations.
- Relevant experience within high-risk chemical manufacturers and ISO tank movements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of production processes, inventory management principles, and quality control principles.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment safely.
