Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Band 6 Clinical Nurse Leader for our Pre Assessment Unit. This role is integral to our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, where we are committed to delivering exceptional and safe care to our patients. Candidates with prior experience in a Pre Assessment Unit will be given preference. This position offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your skills in surgical anesthetic assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the personalized care of patients undergoing elective surgical procedures.
  • Maintain and uphold high standards of nursing practice while coordinating with other healthcare professionals in accordance with Trust and regulatory standards.
  • Support and mentor students and junior staff members.
  • Supervise and manage other nursing staff as necessary, taking charge of the pre-assessment process.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and act in the absence of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
