About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Manager to join our Group Risk and Assurance team at Smart Pension Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on data protection compliance to the business, ensuring timely and effective implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Manage data incident management, DSAR requests, marketing opt-out requests, and other day-to-day operations related to privacy matters.
  • Design and implement efficient processes for data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and recommend controls to mitigate privacy risks.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to implement an effective and accountable data mapping exercise, providing regular review and updates.
  • Design and implement data protection training across the organization, ensuring all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in data protection.
  • Produce and review Smart's privacy policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Cyber Security to mitigate privacy-related risks in the supply chain.
  • Provide assurance to internal and external auditors that demonstrates compliance with data protection laws, including SOC2 and ISO 27001.
  • Prepare reports for senior management, committees, and the Smart Board on data protection practices and compliance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the wider business on data protection compliance.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in the practice of relevant privacy and data protection.
  • Experience running multiple, high-priority projects and advancing complex projects.
  • Experience using and configuring a privacy platform, such as OneTrust.
  • Knowledge and experience of industry frameworks, such as IS, are desirable.
  • Excellent time management, planning, process design, and execution skills.
