The Role: Data Science Content Developer

As a Data Science Content Developer, you'll play a vital role in advancing DataCamp's mission to democratize data education. You'll collaborate closely with our expert instructors and the talented Data Science and AI Curriculum team—a group of educators, data scientists, and technologists—to enhance the quality of existing content and expand our library.

You'll be involved in developing courses, practice exercises, and projects, acting as a reviewer, thought partner, and advocate for our learners. Your strong technical skills in Python and SQL, combined with your ability to influence across teams, will enable you to make data-driven decisions and lead complex projects to success.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about data science and education and wants to join a fast-growing startup that's shaping the future of data science by training the next generation of professionals and building a global network of exceptional instructors.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Create engaging new data science content for our platform. Maintain our existing library to ensure courses are up-to-date and of the highest quality. Write automated tests in Python and SQL to provide personalized feedback for learners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable content creation for advanced technical topics. Provide constructive feedback on specifications for new content. Make data-driven suggestions for content improvements based on learner feedback and engagement data. Prioritize maintenance initiatives on existing content, using data to inform which efforts will have the greatest impact.
  • Project Management: Manage the course development process from planning through launch. Work closely with instructors to ensure high-quality content.
