About the Role

We are seeking an experienced English teacher to join our team at a therapeutic SEND school in Tameside, catering for boys aged 11-16 with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver KS2, KS3, and KS4 English classes, as well as some PSHE lessons, to a small group of students with varying abilities and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the students' individual needs and promote academic progress.
  • Build positive relationships with students, providing consistency and flexibility in your approach to help them rebuild trust and confidence.
  • Collaborate with the school's team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
About the School

Our school is a Tameside Independent SEMH provision for boys, located in south Denton, with easy access via the M60 or from Tameside and Stockport and east Manchester.

Requirements
  • QTS Status or QTLS or an equivalent Further education teaching qualification such as PGCE Special Needs or Certificate of Education.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the school's team to provide a supportive learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
