Teaching Personnel are looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our partnership SEMH/PRU provisions across the South Manchester area.

The school caters for children and young people who have been excluded from mainstream settings due to challenging behaviour/ Special educational needs and need a specialist provision to achieve their learning goals.

In this role as a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in creative and engaging lessons.
  • Act as a good role model for students and encourage expected behaviour.
  • Promote independence of pupils and encourage them to reach their full potential.
  • Support in the assessment of pupils learning and development.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working in a SEMH/PRU provision (Desirable)
  • Adaptability and flexibility within their role to different situations or needs.
  • Lots of patience and good de-escalation techniques/ Team Teach (Desirable)
  • Full time availability within school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
