Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air products.
  • Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across Kent and the surrounding areas.
  • Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
  • The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Field servicing background in compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, rotating equipment, capital equipment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of star delta motor starters would be advantageous.
  • A technical mechanical/electrical/electronic/instrumentation qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or Degree would be advantageous.
