Job Title: Accounts Payable Manager

Job Summary:

Agility Resourcing is delighted to be working with a fantastic growing business who due to an internal promotion are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager.

The business has proven its ability to develop, acquire, incubate, and grow high-quality brands globally due to its well-invested end-to-end UK platform, including distribution, marketing, traditional retailing, and ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and authorization in line with company procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts, including suppliers and finance teams.
  • Resolve queries from suppliers and other departments, providing excellent customer service and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Reconcile suppliers' monthly statements, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist with month-end procedures, including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support year-end accounts and audit processes, providing accurate and timely information as required.
  • Liaise with the finance team to provide accurate cash flow forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial and customer records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Compile, analyze, and report financial information as required, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop and implement effective Accounts Payable processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage and develop the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor and improve internal processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an AP Manager or Supervisor within FMCG or similar industries.
  • SAP experience, with knowledge of financial systems and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles, including Accounts Payable procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to accurately process numerical data, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible, with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload and meet deadlines.
