Job Title: Planning Manager

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our client's team in the FMCG sector. As a key member of the planning function, you will be responsible for managing the tactical and strategic planning processes, ensuring delivery of short-term daily scheduling and long-term capacity and labour planning while maintaining agreed customer service levels.

You will need to coach the planning team to deliver daily production schedules driven by customer demand, ensuring that resources are available to manage this and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying methods of continuous improvement to enhance the planning function and utilizing the existing ERP/MRP systems to support this.

Developing strong relationships with your team, other departments, customers, and suppliers will be crucial to your success in this role.

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience as a Planning Manager in an FMCG company
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to different situations
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships, including exposure to customers
  • Very analytical in their work, maximizing productivity
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
