Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Planning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient, effective, and safe resource planning for our Nursing team. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Runcorn.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the supply and demand challenges of nursing services are met and that the appropriately skilled nurses are in the right place at the right time with the right support.
  2. Utilize the resource planning system (Total Mobile) and Standard Operating Procedures to enable efficiencies and drive continuous improvement using technology to enable effective, accurate, and live workforce planning.
  3. Ensure the data held within the resource planning system always remains accurate and up to date.
  4. Utilize the resource planning system to run periodic analytical management reports and ensure they are prepared within the appropriate and allocated time frame.
  5. Utilize the data available to identify trends and key risks in order to plan more effectively for the future.
  6. Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, such as the Working Time Directive, when planning rotas and implementing staff working patterns to ensure safe working practices and mitigating risk to the business.

Requirements

  1. Experience in the use of IT systems to deliver workforce planning and scheduling solutions.
  2. Experience of managing multiple, conflicting priorities and delivering at pace to deadlines.
  3. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility, network, build relationships, and trust.
  4. Evidence of continuous improvement through innovative and creative solutions.
