About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team at Online Education Services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in understanding business objectives and translating them into technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis of business issues and technical challenges to articulate business impact and value
  • Identify, gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Partner with key technical stakeholders to identify solution options, articulate pros and cons, and assist in designing solution architecture
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and partners to define and map business processes, prioritize based on business impact and value, and distill requirements into succinct scenarios with acceptance criteria and validation rules
  • Prepare delivery plans, including resource plans, schedules, and progress tracking mechanisms, for end-to-end value delivery
  • Report progress to senior stakeholders and executive groups, including risk, issues, and dependencies
  • Coordinate and assist with user acceptance testing for technical implementations
  • Assist with developing test data and participate in planning and executing system and integration testing in conjunction with operational staff
  • Support change management activities, work with power users to develop user support guidelines and documentation, and ensure processes are followed correctly and data integrity is maintained
  • Conduct release planning and support deployment activities
  • Collaborate with external partners and key internal stakeholders to transition projects to business-as-usual management
  • Contribute to the assessment of integrating third-party applications into existing systems
  • Maintain an understanding of the technology landscape to make recommendations for resolving business issues and process inefficiencies
  • Maintain and foster healthy and productive engagement and relationships with partner stakeholders
  • Support IT management by facilitating relevant Agile rituals effectively and providing relevant information required for project management and governance
  • Promote Agile ways of working and help the team improve their understanding of Agile methodology
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Strong and demonstrated skills in business process analysis and mapping
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile environment
  • Sound knowledge in maintenance and access to data and information, including the ability to identify, design, extract, and report on complex datasets, with a good understanding of SQL and relational data structures
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • Strong ability to elicit, refine business requirements, and drive prioritization discussions
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, operate autonomously with little direction, and see the big picture
  • Exceptional team player with a willingness to perform tasks outside their role when required
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and an ability to work under pressure
  • Experience liaising with vendors and external organizations
  • Familiarity with information management applications
Desirable
  • Functional knowledge of CRM systems is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of configuration and coding practices of SaaS systems
  • Relevant certification in Agile methodology and demonstrable experience with Agile ways of working
  • Experience in the education sector and understanding of the student lifecycle
  • Functional knowledge of CRM systems, especially Salesforce, would be highly beneficial
  • Understanding of configuration and coding practices of SaaS systems, including AWS and Salesforce modules, would be ideal
