About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Care Worker to join our team at The Cambian Group. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young people, aged 8-18, who have a range of behavioural and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional care and support to our young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Provide guidance, structure, and support to help our young people develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.
  • Support our young people to engage in education and access various activities, promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive living choices.
  • Participate in clinically led training to enhance your skills and develop best practice in residential childcare.
  • Contribute to household duties, record-keeping, and report writing to ensure the smooth operation of our care setting.
  • Organize and participate in days out, such as social events, shopping, cinema, and swimming, to promote socialization and fun.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
Requirements
  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Desirable but not essential: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, previous experience working in a therapeutic environment, therapeutic qualifications, experience supporting and leading educational engagement, leadership skills and qualifications.

  • A competitive rate of pay: £13.50 per hour, with a £30.00 additional sleep-in rate.
