About the Role

FDM Group, a leading business and technology consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join our team. As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and overseeing the data governance framework across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Data Governance Framework: Design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures data is managed as a strategic asset, improving data quality, accessibility, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish policies, standards, and procedures that support data management goals.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Develop a comprehensive understanding of data protection regulations, particularly the data-sharing components of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and apply legislative frameworks to processes confidently.
  • Manage Projects and Priorities: Prioritize and manage projects with varying degrees of urgency, ensuring timely completion and effective implementation.
  • Develop and Conduct Training Sessions: Design and deliver training sessions for colleagues to enhance understanding of data governance practices.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop strong interpersonal skills to confidently deliver robust advice and communicate with stakeholders clearly.
