In this role, you will be the sole Data Scientist within your squad, responsible for independently managing your Data Science initiatives. You will engage with various stakeholders to identify critical operational challenges, guiding the team's focus and priorities. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and enhancing customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a driven individual who shares our vision and is dedicated to achieving outstanding results for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in optimization methodologies and a passion for addressing production challenges. A strong desire for innovation is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and sustaining optimization models for inventory management and order fulfillment
  • Providing regular updates to the broader team regarding model status and addressing any obstacles
  • Identifying stakeholder needs and devising innovative solutions to meet their requirements
  • Educating the team, including senior stakeholders, on the benefits of optimization
  • Introducing fresh ideas and perspectives to enhance our capabilities
  • Maintaining robust relationships with stakeholders
  • Working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Effectively connecting and collaborating with Software Engineers, Data Analysts, Product Managers, and other functions

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in developing optimization models using techniques such as linear programming or metaheuristics
  • Practical problem-solving skills with a focus on impactful solutions
  • Experience with various Data Science tools and statistical methods (e.g., regressions, clustering, decision trees) and an understanding of their practical applications
  • Skilled in Python programming and familiar with version control systems
  • Able to simplify complex issues and possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Thrives in a dynamic, high-growth, technology-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working independently as a Data Scientist as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of industrial and operational processes
  • Familiarity with optimization libraries (e.g., OR-tools, Pulp, CPLEX, Gurobi or similar)
  • Ability to run queries and analyze metrics & KPIs to assess real-world phenomena
  • Experience with the complete product lifecycle (experimentation, training, testing, monitoring, and deployment)
  • Experience conducting scenario analyses to test and validate alternative hypotheses
  • A curious mindset with a strong desire to learn new techniques and technologies
