About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to join our team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our internal communications and engagement strategy, developing and implementing effective communication plans, and building strong relationships with our stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications and engagement strategy that aligns with the Trust's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a small team of communications and engagement specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality communications and engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement effective communication plans, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders, including employees, service users, carers, and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain a range of internal communications channels, including our weekly all-staff newsletter, staff engagement events, and online platforms.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our internal communications and engagement activities, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working in a senior management/leadership role, with a strong track record of developing and implementing effective communication plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to unexpected demands and make autonomous decisions.
  • Experience of working in a complex environment, with a strong understanding of the NHS and its stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
