FPGA Verification Role

We are seeking a skilled FPGA Verification Engineer to author and review test procedures, ensuring demonstrable links between requirements, tests, and test results. The successful candidate will lead and support specific verification activities and deliver work packages as assigned by the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform FPGA verification activities in accordance with DO-254, including Problem Reports and documentation.
  2. Develop and review physical (lab-based) test procedures.
  3. Assess elemental analysis and code coverage.
  4. Utilize scripting to aid test development, test result analysis, or management of traceability data.
  5. Own and carry out various aspects of verification activities as requested by the technical leads.
  6. Conduct VHDL code reviews.
  7. Effective communication - both written and verbal.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Strong VHDL knowledge, particularly for verification (including testbenches and scoreboarding).
  2. Background in FPGA design.
  3. Experience of DO-254 verification activities.
  4. Knowledge of scripting languages, e.g. Python, tcl.
  5. Questa/Modelsim experience.
  6. Attention to detail balanced with a pragmatic approach.
  7. Knowledge of standard aviation communication protocols, such as ARINC429, would be beneficial.
  8. Lab skills, including debugging/problem solving.
