Main Responsibilities

The Senior Service Charge Accountant will contribute to our vision of being a leading property management company, as recognized by our colleagues, customers, and partners:

  • Delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers
  • Ensuring timely and accurate estate finances
  • Supporting operations in communicating and understanding service charge

This role reports to the Scheme Accounts Team Leader and has no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely preparation and distribution of service charge accounts
  • Accurate and timely preparation and distribution of property budgets
  • Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients
  • Pro-actively liaise with managers and auditors on any areas of concern ensuring clear action plans for resolution
  • Contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes or feedback from colleagues/external parties
  • Supporting our operations team where necessary
  • Monthly balance sheet analysis
  • Some travel to developments may be required in this role

Requirements

  • Work towards a professional qualification (AAT / ACCA) would be an advantage but not essential
