Exciting Opportunity for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

Parkinson Gray Associates, a leading multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, is seeking a talented Senior / Principal Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds. As a key member of the MEP division, you will be responsible for managing project work, undertaking detailed design, and maintaining excellent client service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design, a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs, and excellent communication skills. You will be working as part of a close-knit team on a wide variety of live schemes, with opportunities to get involved in international signature projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company on MEP projects, leading your own discipline and managing engineers of a complimentary discipline
  • Work using your own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Complete detailed designs and supervise the work of others in this function
  • Inspire confidence both internally and externally, and use this to strengthen client relationships
  • Manage time on projects to suit deadlines and complete assigned tasks as stipulated by the project lead
  • Co-ordinate tasks so all deadlines are met and allocate resource appropriately
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
  • Being a qualified Mechanical Building Services Engineer with a proven and demonstrable track record in HVAC Design
  • Having a CIBSE / IET / IMech E Engineering Council accredited honours degree, or an HNC in an applicable discipline with commitment to continue with higher education
  • To have achieved or working towards IEng or CEng status
  • To be an excellent communicator and possess the ability to make what is complicated, simple
  • An interest in, or experience, using digital and parametric design tools
