Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Lead

We are working with a leading Construction and MEP Company in the UK to find a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Lead to join their team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Lead to lead and manage mechanical design projects from conception. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical systems design, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and strong leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mechanical design process for building services projects, ensuring high-quality, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
- Develop and review detailed mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure best practices in mechanical building services design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional recognition.
- Extensive experience in mechanical building services design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and industry-specific tools.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
