About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Safran Seats, a leading manufacturer of aircraft seats. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining cost price files to support our Aftermarket Business and uploading accurate master data into our ERP system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate all necessary documentation and upload cost prices on our ERP system
  • Construct cost prices for the recommended spares parts list (RSPL) for aircraft entry into service
  • Use in-house systems to produce robust cost files for aftermarket manufactured parts
  • Upload all data defined in M3 per aftermarket requirements and ensure data integrity
  • Extract and analyze bills of materials (BOMs) and verify and check routings
  • Coordinate and action activities to maintain data housekeeping
  • Confirm treatment costs and availability of tooling
  • Liaise with the Engineering team to ensure good housekeeping of BOMs and routes
  • Identify risk elements, such as signal codes and tooling costs, to minimize business risk
  • Support and participate in relevant project workshops
  • Provide coaching and support to members of the team as required
  • Flexibility to work between sites
  • KPI follow-up and performance improvement

Requirements
  • Level 3 qualifications (NVQ / BTEC, National certificate / Diploma), or suitable depth of experience acquired by working in a Sales/Aftermarket related role
  • Good understanding of costing process
  • Previous experience in a commercial Aftermarket position
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience of the Aircraft Seating Industry
  • Strong estimating capability
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Analytical Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good team working skills
  • Familiarity with ERP
  • Competent user of Microsoft office applications
