About the Role
MCC Label is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the plants achievement of financial objectives and corporate financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Assist the FC in managing the plant internal and external financial reporting and assure compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Analysis and Reporting: Partner with the Plant Management Team to assure achievement of the overall plant objectives, including analyzing data to deadlines and supporting the FC as required.
- Cost Accounting and Inventory Management: To get involved with the Management of systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of job costs, overhead, inventory, controls and policies, and physical counts.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Provide input on the forecasting process and assist in the creation and achievement of the approved budget of the plant.
- Accrual and Prepayment Journals: Help in preparing accrual and prepayment journals for month end accounts.
- Expense Account Analysis: Involved in the analysis and review of expense accounts during the month end process.
- Customer Support: Support a service oriented and business partner approach within the accounting organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Safety and Culture: Assure the safety of associates within the Plant Accounting function and model the Corporate Values and Principles, including instilling a high performance, people-powered culture, providing high expectations and high support.
Requirements
- Education and Qualifications: Qualified Accountant or studying towards accountancy qualification.
- Skills and Experience: Literate in Microsoft Word and Excel, articulate, clear, and persuasive in the spoken and written word, rational, logical, fact-driven decision making, and perform college level mathematical calculations.
