Position Overview

As a Warranty and After Sales Engineer, you will report to the Warranty Department Manager. Collaborating closely with the Engineering and Projects Departments, you will provide warranty and aftersales assistance for our clients' vessels. This role primarily involves office-based work, offering internal departmental support and remote assistance to clients, with potential travel to various locations as necessary to meet business requirements, including technical discussions on proposals and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address and manage warranty and aftersales inquiries from both internal and external clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of warranty claims, utilizing spreadsheets, databases, and correspondence.
  • Diagnose mechanical and process-related issues, offering solutions and guidance.
  • Coordinate with procurement to order and dispatch replacement parts for warranty claims.
  • Create troubleshooting guides for common issues and provide feedback to design and engineering teams.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including shipyards, owners, and ship management companies.

This position entails a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid working model that includes a combination of office and remote work.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Background in engineering is essential, preferably in the marine sector.
  • A systematic, logical, and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in IT applications.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written).

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of HNC in an engineering discipline.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS checks for this role.
