The Role

We are seeking dedicated SEMH Learning Mentors to support students' social, emotional, and mental health development. As a SEMH Learning Mentor, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and professionals in partner schools to provide individualized support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans to promote emotional and social development.
  • Assist in activities that foster emotional and social growth, such as coping strategies and resilience-building exercises.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to ensure effective support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive classroom environment that promotes student well-being.
  • Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • Degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in education.
  • Knowledge of SEMH needs and support practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt.
