Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps engineer to lead our DevOps team(s) to enable automated infrastructure delivery, including DevSecOps value streams and CI/CD pipelines to deploy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead wider architecture discussions and provide consultancy to our clients on DevOps, Cloud, and Engineering topics.
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to deploy services and ensure service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and senior executives to define cloud strategies and perform PoCs on new technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and consultation to project team members and provide direct guidance in planning, designing, programming, documentation, and implementation of systems.
  • Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies, and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in DevOps and Cloud engineering.
  • Solid knowledge on OS/infrastructure such as Linux OS, networking, storage, load-balancer, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps & building CI/CD solutions, and strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar.
  • Expertise in cloud networks (VPC) and firewall on cloud, IAM, cloud costing.
  • Expertise in monitoring and observability technologies such as Prometheus, AppDynamics, Splunk, Jaeger, Kiali, Open Telemetry or similar.
  • Creating & Running Docker containers & using Kubernetes to manage and automate the deployment, scaling, and operation of containers.
  • Hands-on experience with software architecture & designing and building end-to-end software solutions.
  • Previous commitment to the Kafka open-source project.
  • Expert-level SQL coding abilities.
  • Experience in developing applications using Python and/or Java.
  • Data modelling and database design.
  • Experience with designing & building APIs.
  • The passion and ability to lead/motivate and develop technologists, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Highly flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and influence technical choices relating to business, development, and architectural requirements.
