About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park in Thatcham. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting service users with mental health conditions, managing and supporting a caseload of up to 24 forensic service users, and leading and promoting child and adult safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a caseload of up to 24 forensic service users with mental health conditions.
  • Lead and promote child and adult safeguarding.
  • Empower recovery to encourage service users to engage in their care plans and achieve their goals.
  • Lead the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.
  • Liaise with external agencies to enable them to fulfill their statutory duties.

Requirements

  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a similar environment.
