Nursing Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Officer to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and management of the clinical area, including effective team leadership and acting as an experienced clinician in acute and rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership skills to motivate and develop staff to their maximum potential in order to attain the highest standards in the delivery of care to patients.
- Ensure that an effective therapeutic environment exists for patients and that students are provided with excellent learning opportunities.
- Coordinate the response to medical and psychiatric emergencies on the hospital site.
- Deploy staff in urgent/emergency situations to achieve safe staffing levels within available resources.
- Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 and other statutory regulations are observed and implemented.
- Ensure that all staff comply with Trust policies and procedures.
- Ensure that Risk Management and Health & Safety requirements are implemented.
- Be conversant with the Major Incident and Fire Evacuation Procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle, as they will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines.
