Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our client's team in Bedfordshire. As the Voids Surveyor, you will be working alongside senior building surveyors, supporting them in managing property portfolios and transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Assist senior surveyors in managing technical and complex projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare technical due diligence reports to ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Perform building pathology surveys to identify potential issues.
  • Monitor construction work and the performance of project design teams.
  • Produce reports to clients and engage in face-to-face communication.
  • Travel to appointments around the Bedfordshire area.
  • Manage contracts from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Have experience in dealing with Party Wall matters, Dilapidations, Defect diagnosis, and Contract Administration.
  • Have good knowledge of current Building Regulations.
Requirements
  • Must have a strong background in building surveying and project management.
  • Experience within the social housing sector, preferably in voids.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid driving license and own car.
