About the Role

Due to ongoing project developments, our client is in search of a seasoned Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to become part of a distinguished organization, propelled by a dynamic team that leads in innovative solutions.

This role can be offered on a permanent or contract basis.

As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Lead Electrical and Control Systems Engineer and will be responsible for producing Electrical and Control Systems designs within both single and multi-discipline engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in projects primarily based in the UK, with opportunities to work across Europe and potentially other regions.
  • Manage projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept through to commissioning, in both greenfield and brownfield settings.
  • Handle a diverse range of projects varying in complexity and scale across major sectors including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Food.
  • Ensure the completion of Electrical and Control Systems Engineering and Design as outlined in the Project Scope.
  • Support the Lead Engineer in delivering designs within budgetary and scheduling constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Depending on project size and complexity, you may serve as the Electrical and Control Systems Engineer for a single project or a portfolio of projects.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical and Control Systems Engineer in single/multi-discipline projects within an Engineering/EPCM/EPC environment.
  • A solid understanding of both Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines, with the capability to lead designs in both areas.
  • Proficiency in the latest Electrical and Control Systems design tools, including AMTECH, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A relevant degree (MEng/MSc/BSc/BEng) in Electrical and Control Systems Engineering.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality engineering and design that meets client satisfaction.

Additionally, you should have a good grasp of the interdependencies between engineering activities across various disciplines, including Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Process, and Automation.

Experience with construction, testing, and commissioning activities to support post-design processes is preferred.
