Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Total Resourcing Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality EC&I designs and supporting the principal EC&I engineer in delivering design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Assist in the preparation of estimates and project proposals, and manage and work to project schedules.
  • EC&I Requirements: Manage and clarify EC&I requirements at all levels, and experience EC&I design review and other client-facing meetings.
  • Technical Solutions: Provide technical solutions from customer requirements and initial concepts, and coordinate EC&I activities necessary to provide design solutions to the project.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuously learn and develop in all areas of engineering, especially with respect to the latest developments in technologies and techniques.
  • Project Deliverables: Produce project deliverables in accordance with project requirements, in line with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Design Feedback: Experience of checking and providing design feedback.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all company and statutory H&S policies, rules, regulations, and laws, setting the standards for other EC&I discipline members.
  • Quality Management System: Adhere to the company QMS, contribute to the development of the QMS, and proactive monitoring of team compliance to the QMS.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum qualification for this role is an HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical or control engineering or similar engineering.
  • Membership: Membership of a recognised Engineering Institute.
  • Professional Development: Incorporated Engineer or working towards.
  • EC&I Knowledge: An understanding of how the EC&I aspects fit within a complex project environment, combined with an in-depth knowledge of particular areas within the discipline.
  • Nuclear Health and Safety: Demonstrate a good understanding of nuclear health and safety and the construction regulations.
  • Design Lifecycle: Experience at all stages of the design lifecycle.
  • Design Solutions: The capability to deliver and check design solutions to the required standards, in the required timescales, supported by appropriate documentation.
  • EC&I Systems Design: Knowledge of EC&I systems design, including calculations and EMC assessment.
