Job Description

Shawthorpe Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled External Accounts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for client enquiries and concerns.
    • Understand clients' needs and collaborate with internal teams to exceed expectations.
  • Account Growth:
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective account management.
    • Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling and cross-selling.
    • Introduce new products or services that align with clients' evolving needs.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Effectively communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to address client requests and resolve issues promptly.
    • Provide regular updates to clients on relevant products, services, and industry trends.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyse client data and performance metrics.
    • Prepare regular reports on key account metrics and areas for improvement.
    • Utilise data insights to enhance client satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for sustainability, environmental conservation, and waste management.
  • Proven experience in waste management, with a track record of managing a customer portfolio in excess of £1 million.
  • A creative problem solver who can think on their feet and adapt to changing client and business needs and requirements.
  • A tenacious, driven, organised individual with excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Comfortable using sales and CRM tools to track progress and manage leads.
  • Experience with CRM systems and solid understanding of MS office.
