In this position, you will oversee and manage the company's procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations. The inventory management aspect focuses on ensuring the proper supply, storage, and accessibility of products to maintain optimal stock levels without overstocking. The logistics component entails the seamless integration of information, transportation, material handling, and packaging from the point of origin to the point of consumption, ensuring we meet our customers' needs effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive work ethic and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

General Performance & Delivery

  1. Manage the ordering process with suppliers based on forecasts and stock levels, ensuring timely delivery and addressing supplier inquiries.
  2. Maintain customer satisfaction by managing expectations according to predefined service levels.

Inventory Management

  1. Facilitate ongoing communication with key internal departments.
  2. Gather and present accurate metrics regarding inventory levels, providing clear visibility to the organization.
  3. Proactively manage component replenishment lead times, ensuring compliance with established KPIs.
  4. Oversee the return process for defective goods and manage returns effectively.
  5. Support the replenishment of essential kits and manage issues related to obsolete or non-moving stock.
  6. Assist in maintaining the company's asset management and upkeep of tools and specialized equipment.
  7. Understand and address storage space requirements for inventory.
  8. Ensure adherence to quality management practices.
  9. Comply with environmental regulations and standards.

The successful management of these competing priorities will contribute to achieving optimal inventory levels, adapting to the evolving needs of the business.

Logistics Management

  1. Ensure timely returns of essential kits.
  2. Oversee reverse logistics processes for non-essential inventory.
  3. Monitor logistics partners and solutions for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with the Service Supply Chain Supervisor to evaluate current courier solutions.
  5. Coordinate the loan and return of specialized test equipment to and from customers.
  6. Manage the sending and returning of internal tools for engineers.

Purchasing Responsibilities

  1. Timely creation of Purchase Orders and necessary updates to the system.
  2. Assist in cost reduction initiatives related to processes, materials, and supply functions.
  3. Support reporting on supplier performance based on business requirements.
  4. Contribute to the development of internal systems and procedures related to MRP, stock control, and forecasting.
  5. Assist in implementing procurement strategies for legacy products.
  6. Proactively manage rebate controls.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)

  1. Ensure all suppliers and contractors are vetted and approved for use.
  2. Support initiatives to minimize energy consumption and reduce waste.
  3. Promote awareness of health, safety, and environmental management systems.

Reporting

  1. Assist the National Service Supply Chain Supervisor with reporting requirements.
  2. Ensure compliance with all QHSE standards.
  3. Discuss and agree on all KPIs and reports with relevant stakeholders.

Interactions:

Engage with customers, schedulers, supply chain supervisors, regional operations teams, key accounts, technical support staff, service contract sales, product operations, subcontract service providers, and suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics roles.
  2. Understanding of planning, forecasting, and stock projection principles.
  3. Familiarity with warehouse and logistics processes.
  4. Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  7. Commercial awareness with effective negotiation skills.
  8. Ability to interact successfully with various departments and personnel in challenging situations.
