Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in the South Bradford area.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to an individual student with special educational needs. You will work closely with the student and other members of staff and professionals to implement a personalized method of learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to a student with Autism in a 1:1 setting
  • Work collaboratively with the student, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the student's needs
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff
  • Support the student in developing social and emotional skills, promoting independence and self-confidence
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Understanding of specific learning difficulties and individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other professionals, and the student
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
