Join Our Team as an Electrical Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our team at the National HVDC Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the power system studies to de-risk the deployment of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission technologies.

About the Role:

  • Develop models of transmission systems and carry out simulations using specialist simulation tools to identify feasibility, risks, and mitigation.
  • Support planning and commissioning activities to ensure the successful deployment of HVDC transmission technologies.
  • Collaborate with our team of power system experts to enable and de-risk the journey to net-zero.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2:2 BEng in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team.
  • Comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges.
