Join the HVDC Centre Engineering Graduate Programme

SSEN Transmission is seeking Electrical Power Engineering Graduates to support the power system studies for the deployment of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission technologies to deliver our net-zero targets.

About the Role

As a member of the HVDC Centre team, you will be at the forefront of building a better world of energy for future generations. You will follow a Specialist pathway and work closely with our team of power system experts to enable and de-risk the journey of integrating massive offshore wind power.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop models of the transmission system and carry out simulations with specialist simulation tools to identify feasibility, risks, and mitigation.
  • Support planning and commissioning of HVDC transmission technologies.
  • Work in a team environment to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements

You will have a minimum of a 2:2 BEng in Electrical Power Engineering. We'd love you to have some practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector, as well as demonstrable experience of working in a team.
