{"About the Role": "As a compassionate and dedicated Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a high-quality culinary service to our residents. Your focus will be on preparing modified diets, supervising culinary staff, and ensuring safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare modified diets that meet the highest hygiene standards and are in accordance with IDDSI guidance.
* Supervise and direct the work of culinary staff, providing instruction and demonstration on simple food preparation activities.
* Understand and implement the principles of safe food handling to ensure all food preparation meets the highest standards.
* Support the culinary team in fully understanding the Avery Food Safety Management System.

Requirements:

* Hold a relevant catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
* Have a minimum of 1 year of catering experience.
* Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services to residents.
* Be able to adapt and be flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
