With commercial income exceeding £100 million annually, the University is poised for further growth as it invests in new commercial ventures and seeks partnerships to amplify its economic and commercial impact both locally and globally.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Finance, you will lead the strategic and operational development of the University's commercial finance strategy, focusing on value creation, growth, and revenue generation in alignment with the University's strategic goals.

This position will have a significant influence across the University, requiring you to engage with senior internal stakeholders and external partners, including funders and clients.

To succeed in this role, you should have a proven history of leadership and achievement at a senior financial level, particularly in complex and large-scale environments. You will need substantial post-qualification experience in corporate finance and commercial finance.

Your expertise in negotiating multi-million-pound contracts and your deep understanding of project financing, contracts, and financial structures will be essential.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of developing and executing policies and strategies. You should also possess strong experience in managing and nurturing high-performing teams to achieve excellence, including overseeing third-party experts.
