Nigel Wright Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading retail business in the North East, seeking an experienced Marketing and/or Comms Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.

About the Role:

  • Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Marketing Strategy: Create and execute an annual marketing plan, including events, campaigns, and promotions, with clear and measurable KPIs.
  • Lead the Digital Marketing Team: Manage and support the workflow of the Digital Marketing Assistant, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the general manager and external agencies to ensure smooth marketing activity, aligning with business objectives.
  • Engage with Local Communities: Liaise with customers, community groups, local authorities, colleges, and culture groups to raise the profile of the business and drive sales and footfall.
  • Content Creation: Write press releases, creative briefs, and advertising collateral, showcasing the business's unique value proposition.
  • Media Buying and Planning: Manage the annual media buying plan, coordinating agency partners to deliver creative outputs within tight deadlines.

About You:

  • Marketing Expertise: Relevant PR or marketing qualifications to degree level, with a strong understanding of consumer/retail/B2C marketing.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and people skills, with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at a head office and local level.
  • Event and Project Management: Strong event and project management skills, with the ability to organize and manage events, and bring forward creative ideas.
