Sales and Trading Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Trading Specialist to join our Cross Asset Securities Finance team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the sales and trading activities of our clients in the UK and other regions.
Key Responsibilities- Coverage and Client Management
- Provide coverage to defined Synthetic Prime Brokerage clients based in London for all their financing, short cover, and execution needs in Europe.
- Coordinate global balances of London-based clients where business is originated from London.
- Cover some CEEMA clients for their Delta One financing needs.
- Cover UK asset managers, ETF providers, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, and pension funds for their Delta One financing needs.
- Work with the PSC platform sales team and other teams within MARK and GLBA to identify appropriate clients who fit our current PSC/Delta 1 offering.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities with our clients and introduce them to other teams within MARK.
- Support the development of relationships and execute transactions with these clients.
- Provide a high level of operational support to the sales teams, including running client-specific credit checks, writing daily financing flow updates, and supporting new client onboarding.
- Execute relevant product transactions on behalf of SG clients and price in line with policies and guidelines applicable.
- Manage data, including CRM, sales-credit process, and PnL data.
- Maintain up-to-date intelligence on market initiatives and client demands.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Market Knowledge and Experience
- Good market knowledge and experience in the investment banking/financial services industry.
- Sound numerical and literacy skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player, proactively shares information and collaborates with others.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
- Reliable professional conduct.
- Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for following matters through to completion.
