Job Title: Principal Civil and Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join our dynamic design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects
  • Concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects
  • Analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot
  • Preparation of calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, and inter-discipline design coordination and supervision
  • Management of project delivery and people management of senior CS&A engineers and CS&A engineers
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
  • Previous experience within the nuclear industry and design for seismic loading is advantageous but not necessary
  • Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards
  • Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards
  • Degree-qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil/Structural Engineer
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IStructE, or working towards
