About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Jobs for Humanity. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, scalability, and performance of our software applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Focusing on scalability, high availability, performance, stability, and reliability of software applications.
- Building automations to simplify operations and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure positive end-user experiences.
- Applying sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environment and codebase.
Requirements
- Experience working with API gateways and REST.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
- Knowledge of Linux administration and navigation along with data center experience.
- Experience with SQL and Postgres databases.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with product and client teams.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience in technically focused roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Banking sector experience.
- Solid understanding of networking and SSL/certificate security.
- Knowledge of Linux administration and navigation along with data center experience.
- Java, Python, Shell Scripting, and Bash Scripting knowledge.
