Job Description

The Senior Pharmacy Assistant (SATO) will serve as the primary point of contact for wards and clinics, ensuring timely delivery of medicines and providing administrative support to the pharmacy purchasing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders and manage stock levels to meet ward and departmental requirements.
  • Supervise and train Pharmacy Assistant (ATO) staff in the pharmacy stores.
  • Check and verify orders assembled by support staff.
  • Manage the distribution email and process order requests.
  • Book out stocklists for Peripheral Site wards.
  • Replenish Omnicell's with weekly orders and conduct regular audits.
  • Ensure good stock rotation and monitor expiry dates of all goods.
  • Return excess stock from wards and notify the Purchasing Manager of slow-moving lines and excess stocks.
  • Perform administrative duties and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
