Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Housing Resettlement Program Manager to lead our housing initiatives and corporate response for the resettlement of individuals who have been granted asylum and those of Chagossian heritage who have received British citizenship.

This role is temporary, with an initial contract of three months, and there is a strong possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be instrumental in facilitating the integration of these individuals into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinated Approach and Legal Compliance:
Ensure a coordinated strategy that fulfills statutory obligations.
Build effective collaborations with statutory bodies and the voluntary sector to address comprehensive needs.

Process Management:
Oversee and streamline the assessment and processing workflow for individuals seeking housing support.
Lead a team to efficiently utilize available resources.

Temporary Housing and Procurement:
Supervise the acquisition of temporary housing and private sector options to cater to the needs of resettling individuals.

Leadership and Teamwork:
Exhibit a collaborative leadership approach, engaging with various stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to tackle housing and resettlement challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:
In-depth understanding of homelessness legislation and service delivery.
Demonstrated experience in temporary accommodation procurement.
A proven history of leadership and management in a multifaceted environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
