Job Title: Healthcare Support Volunteer

Join our team at Change Grow Live and make a positive impact in the lives of our service users. As a Healthcare Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of health and wellbeing interventions.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our healthcare team. As a Healthcare Support Volunteer, you will work closely with our staff and partner agencies to support service users in accessing treatment and clinical interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team to undertake healthcare assessments and complete referrals to specialist care providers.
  • Screen for blood-borne viruses and contribute to care planning to ensure effective referrals to Hepatology and GUM services.
  • Prepare service users for clinics and support the delivery of clinics, including taking blood pressure and screening for substances.
  • Record activities and interventions undertaken and participate in the promotion of health and wellbeing interventions.
  • Support the delivery of detox interventions and assist with screening processes, including urine and saliva tests.
  • Liaise with other partner agencies, including primary care and pharmacies, to ensure seamless service delivery.
