Job Title: Operational Control Centre Operative

At Serco, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Operational Control Centre Team as an Operational Control Centre Operative. This role is a key part of our Prisoner Escort Custody Services (PECS) team, responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of custodies across London, East, and West England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule vehicles to ensure the safe transport of custodies in line with agreed service delivery.
  • Work closely with our crews and establishments to ensure custodies are transported on time and in a safe and secure manner.
  • Monitor vehicles and respond to emergency alarms raised by crews.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to ensure the safe and secure delivery of custodies to their destinations.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with exceptional communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in organizing large-scale logistics and scheduling plans in a large geographical area.
  • Computer literate with the ability to quickly assimilate large volumes of data and information.

Security Clearance:

  • This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 4, and all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office.
  • You will be required to obtain Ministry of Justice Enhanced Level 2 Vetting & Enhanced DBS with Child Barring.
